God’s Justice and 

Righteousness - 5

“The Lord is known by his acts of justice.” (Psalm 9:16)

 

The psalms remind us that God is not blind to injustice. He defends

 the weak, lifts the oppressed, and brings down the proud. Though

 human judgment may falter, His judgment is perfect. In a world where

 wrong seems strong, the psalmist anchors us: God reigns with justice.

 We are called not only to trust in His fairness but to live justly ourselves

 — in kindness, honesty, and humility.

Prayer:

Righteous Judge, keep my heart from bitterness when I see injustice.

 each me to trust Your timing and to walk in Your righteousness. Help

 me reflect Your justice in small acts of love each day. Amen.

The Majesty of Creation - 4

“The heavens declare the glory of God;

the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” (Psalm 19:1)

Creation is a hymn, and we are invited to listen. The morning sun sings of His faithfulness, the night sky whispers His mysteries, and every flower testifies to His care. The psalmist reminds us that nature itself preaches a sermon of God’s  majesty. When our hearts grow weary, lift your eyes—the  heavens tell the story of a God who is mighty, near, and  endlessly creative.

Prayer:

Lord of creation, open my eyes to see Your beauty around

 me. May the stars remind me of Your greatness and the

 sparrow of Your tender care. Let my life, too,

 declare Your glory.   Amen.

“How long, Lord? Will you forget me 

forever?” (Psalm 13:1)

Psalms teaches us that even our groans are prayers.

God is not distant from our pain; He welcomes raw

honesty. When we cry out “How long?” we join the

voices of countless saints who have waited, wrestled,

and wept before us. Lament is not lack of faith—it is

 faith daring to speak. As we pour out our sorrows,

 God bends low to listen and promises joy in the morning.

 Prayer:

Father, hear my cry when words fail and tears speak

 louder. Hold me close when I cannot see Your hand.

Teach me that lament is a doorway to deeper trust in You.

Amen.

Life often feels like walking through valleys, uncertain and dark. Yet, Psalm 23 reminds us that we never walk alone.

 The Shepherd guides with love, provides with care, and defends with strength. When fear knocks, let faith answer. Trust in His hand, even when you do not see the path ahead. His rod and staff are your comfort, and His goodness will follow you always. 

Prayer:
Dear Shepherd of my soul, when I am anxious or afraid, remind me that You are near.

Lead me to still waters, restore my weary heart, and keep me safe in Your unfailing love. Amen.

Our souls were made for worship. The psalmist reminds us that worship isn’t reserved for a perfect day or a quiet temple—it flows from breath itself. Every sunrise invites us to sing, every heartbeat reminds us of His mercy. Worship is not only in song but in living with gratitude, kindness, and love. When we praise God in joy and in tears, heaven touches earth.

Prayer:

Lord, teach me to worship You with all my heart—when life is bright and when shadows fall. May my breath, my words, and my deeds bring glory to Your name. Amen.

A Quiet Encounter in the Sunflower Fields

 

Over the past few weeks, I stepped away from the usual rhythm of life. Not feeling well, I missed Sunday services and quietly withdrew to rest. Yet even in my stillness, God was gently at work.

He led me, unexpectedly, to the sunflower gardens of Thailand. There, surrounded by endless rows of golden blooms lifting their faces to the sun, I found peace. I saw His hand in everything—the warmth of the light, the silent strength of the distant mountains, the gentle shifting of the sky.

Each sunflower, turning toward the light, reminded me of our call to lift our hearts toward God. In that moment, I felt the Lord’s nearness not in noise or activity, but in the hush of creation. My spirit was renewed.

The hymn How Great Thou Art came to mind, its lyrics echoing the joy in my heart:

"Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee,

How great Thou art!"

Indeed, my soul sang. Even in quiet seasons, God’s greatness surrounds us, comforts us, and gently restores us.
